- The massive feel of this 36 Hatt is wonderful. Even when climbing the 36 foot tower, there was no leaning or tipping. When this boat was built, nobody had any idea how strong the fiberglass was going to be, so they used a bunch of it. The result is a great riding, stedy platform for fishing or cruising with the family. These older Hatts do not have the speed of their newer counterparts, but you arrive much fresher and less shook up due to the great sea keeping ability of the heavier boat. When the weather gets snotty, you will never hear an old salt decry, "If I only had a lighter boat".
- A near total refit over the last couple of years has this boat ready to fish.
The engines and 7.6 Westerbeke gennie are recent takeouts from another boat and all run strong and trouble free.
- The salon is pretty basic but attractive. A couple of wicker couches, and lots of windows. The power panel is on the starboard side. On each bulkhead is rod storage with custom made wall decor. See the pics for the dolphin and Tuna designs.
- The fly bridge has room for 4 adults plus the helmsman. All gauges and electronics are within easy reach. There is a Garmin GPS/sounder, model 2006 GPS map. Si tek Loran, model C787C. Standard Horizon VHF. VDO gauges. Sony stereo, 1000 watts, Bazooka speakers. New isenglass curtains protect the bridge.
- The tower has full engine controls for working a fish or spotting your quarry.
- Loads of new gear was installed during the refit.
-- Air conditioner--Origo 12/110 volt reefer/freezer--Lectra San Head--GE Microwave--Lee Outriggers--New Upholstery--New Awlgrip top to bottom--MORE, see the pics.
- The head is roomy and has one of the largest showers I have seen on a boat this size. Lectra San waste system is clean and new.
